An ecumenical community ministry supported by St. Paul UCC. Through the Food Pantry and the Community Care Coalition, neighbors receive practical help, including food support, client advocacy, and financial assistance when needs arise.

A ministry of conversation and conscience that helps our church engage real-world issues with faith, courage, and humility. The group fosters learning, dialogue, and discernment around justice in our community and beyond.
A summer outreach effort with other Lebanon churches to help ensure no child goes hungry when school is out. Volunteers provide meals, hospitality, and presence for local families.
St. Paul supports the wider mission of the United Church of Christ through the five denominational special offerings, and receives a designated mission offering on fifth Sundays to support hunger-related ministries.
An ongoing commitment to the well-being of children in our region through monthly tuition support for a child attending Uni-Pres Kindercottage in East St. Louis.
St. Paul invests in faith formation for youth by providing camp scholarships and regularly supporting projects and work days at DuBois Center, the Illinois South Conference camp and retreat center.
Our different fellowship ministries…
A group focused on connection, encouragement, and service within the life of the church. Men gather for fellowship and to support the church’s ministries through shared work and participation.
A devoted circle of prayer warriors who meet weekly to lift up joys and concerns. This group quietly undergirds the life of the church with steady, faithful prayer.
A reimagined pastoral care ministry where trained lay members supplement visits to those who are homebound, in nursing homes, or hospitalized, helping people stay connected to their faith family.
Hand-sewn bears sit in the pews during worship to “soak in” the prayers, preaching, and Word. They are then delivered to people in times of need, especially during hospital visits or difficult seasons.
A compassionate ministry of hospitality that coordinates and provides meals when funerals include a luncheon. This team helps families feel supported through care that is both practical and tender.
Two major fundraising dinners hosted each year, supporting the church and selected mission work. These events are also a hallmark of fellowship, hospitality, and community tradition.
The Quilters gather to sew with purpose and compassion, creating handmade quilts that become gifts of warmth, comfort, and care. Through their craft and fellowship, they support the life of our church and extend a tangible reminder of love to people in need, near and far.
A dedicated choir that helps lead worship through music that is faith-filled and thoughtfully prepared. The choir supports Sunday worship and special services throughout the year.
A vibrant ensemble that enriches worship through the unique, resonant voice of handbells. The bell choir contributes to worship regularly and during special seasons.
The Environmental Arts team helps shape the look and feel of our worship space by decorating the sanctuary throughout the year. With care and creativity, they prepare seasonal visuals, worship focal points, and thoughtful details that support the theme of each service and help our Faith Family enter worship with attention, beauty, and reverence.
A faith formation program for ages Pre-K through youth, helping children grow in Bible knowledge, prayer, and Christian life. Lessons are designed to be engaging, welcoming, and grounded in love.
A learning-focused class for adults that explores Scripture and Christian life with curiosity and depth. The class also expands into broader topics, including study of other religions and the Old Testament prophets.
A weekly adult Bible study and book-discussion group where faith and real life meet. Participants read, reflect, and share conversation that supports spiritual growth and thoughtful discipleship.
A leadership team that guides Christian education and helps plan faith formation experiences across the church. The BCE is open to creative ideas, special events, and new approaches to engaging all ages.
A guided faith journey for youth exploring what it means to follow Jesus, belong to the church, and live their faith with integrity. Confirmation includes teaching, relationship-building, and participation in worship and service.
A community for youth to connect, grow, and serve together. This group supports friendships, faith conversations, and opportunities to participate in the life of the church.
St. Paul participates in the wider Lebanon Community VBS and hosts it every fourth year. VBS brings children together for Bible learning, music, crafts, and energetic, community-wide faith formation.
